My web developer used 2 pictures on my blog that he found on the New York Post. The blog was about safety issues. Shouldn’t that be fair use as it was designed to educate people???

Christopher Sadowski is now asking for more than $10,000. I offered $1,000 and they said no but reduced the demand to $8,650. Higbee’s web site has lots of references to people getting sued and my guess is they are real as I found other references on Google.

Suggestions on what to do other than pay $8,650 for 2 crappy photos???

Unless they said that was their final offer, keep negotiating. Sadowski does litigate, you are right, both with Higbee and Liebowitz, so use caution.

You see a list of many of the cases filed by Higbee & Associates at https://copyright-demand-letter.com/higbee-associates-copyright/

The name Christopher Sadowski appears quite frequently.
